Attention Veterans

The Jackson Business and Professional Organization is proud to join with the BPW/USA in offering women exiting military service in 2006 a full dues waiver for a one-year introductory membership and a half dues to those women who are Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

“This is a way of BPW to show our appreciation and support by helping these heroic Veterans transition into civilian professional life,” local president Linda J. Higgins stated.

This introductory membership gives Veterans much -need professional and personal support at a critical time in their lives. Women veterans are more likely to experience unemployment, a disconnection with much-needed services, or even homelessness. BPW helps it members with successful career transitions through professional development training, leadership opportunities, peer mentoring, networking opportunities, and continuing education scholarships.

The national initiative is called Women Joining Forces-Closing Ranks, Opening Doors.
